$ Store Harvest Leaves

                                                                                              The Dollar Tree is my favorite place to shop for crafting supplies, and while you cannot get everything you need there, the selection and price never fail me.

I found this great 10-pack of leaves from the Dollar Tree and right away knew how great it would be to use for decoration, not only to make garland, but to just hang itself.

By just curling the wire end around my finger, I got a fun twisty edge to the leaf.

That made it really easy to hang it.

 Garland is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to decorate.  By simply adding the leaves to brown Jute cord {also available at the Dollar Tree!} along with scraps of woven fabric tied on, you get a versatile garland that can be hung quite a few places.

This window has so many possibilities because of its neutral layout and color and right now it functions nicely to hang the garland as well as a harvest plate.

 You can also get a big effect with little cost by printing out a banner and because bloggers are so willing to share their designs, it really is so simple.  This banner was shared by DIYSwank {Thank you!}.  Strung up with Jute and a couple leaves at the end completes this super quick project.  TIP: Print on card stock and then save it again for next year.
